It's been a busy couple of weeks!!

Basketball Camp

Jaret went to Basketball camp for 4 nights at the high school...

Civil AirPatrol

Daniel has been attending CAP for a few weeks. He was invited by some friends and he seems to be enjoying himself so far. For those of you who aren't sure what CAP is, check out this awesome video: Civil Air Patrol

The meetings are held next to the Sheriff's Aviation Unit and on this day, the kids had the opportunity to check out one of the county's VERY special and VERY expensive helicopters.

This was during an open house for anyone to come check out CAP. The kids did a few fun projects and learned about how airplane wings work.

Piano Recital

Daniel and Jaret payed 3 pieces each and did a wonderful job!

VBS-Vacation Bible School

Jaret and Ethan had a great time. The theme was Hawaii this time!

A full, fun week! Daniel was one of the youth helpers for the week.

Praise Band

Daniel was invited to join a bunch of kids from church to form a new band! They needed a bass player...he also plays drums! Too talented like his father.

A little fuzzy...Daniel's on the left. The band will play for the first time at youth group Wednedsay night!Well, that's about it. We're getting ready to head to Miami for the 4th of July! I still have one lone survivor friend on Key Biscayne! Hi Kate! See you soon!

25th Reunion

Dan's 25th High School Reunion was a two night adventure Friday and Saturday. A casual night and then a semi formal night. It was fun to watch everyone reminisce. He graduated from Hernando High School in Brooksville in 1983.

Dan was Emcee...

This is Bob, one of Dan's best friends from High School. They even went off to the Marine Corps together. He lives in Chicago now and they still keep in touch.

The reunion was held at The Palace Grand in Spring Hill.

Bari and her boyfriend, Tommy...Look at the sky! It opened up and poured for a few minutes but they kept calling out the names all through it. Lots of fun.

It's been a sad week...

Last Wednesday Dan's dad passed away. He was very sick for a very long time and it was expected, but still hard when it finally came. He'll be buried this Thursday at the Bushnell Veteran's Cemetery.

We received word this morning that our niece, Katie died in an accident last night in South Carolina. She was 19. This was Dan's sister's daughter. Click here for the news article

Thanks for your prayers for Sonny and Donna throughout Sonny's illnesses. Please pray for Debbie(Dan's sister) and her family in SC. Pray that we can be used by God to comfort them when we travel up there for the funeral soon.

Rainbow Springs

It's been such a long time since we've vistited Rainbow Springs State Park. What a pretty place! Our 4H(NC Investigators-Wilderness Group) group went out there last Friday for a hike, a birthday party and a swim.

The swimming area is right off the dock and within the ropes.The water is from 5 to 8 feet deep and freezing!
